The maintenance activity isn’t a purpose in itself, it’s a necessity of which “the production suffers”. An importance of an effective maintenance program cannot be overlooked because it plays such an important role in the effectiveness of lean manufacturing. As in personal health care insurance, maintenance may be considered the heath care of our manufacturing machines and equipment.
It is required to effectively run an efficient, continuous manufacturing operation. The cost of regular maintenance is very small when it is compared to the cost of a major breakdown at which time there is no production.
A machine’s breakdown true cost is sometimes difficult to measure. A recent survey showed that the cost for a machine breakdown is more than just the maintenance labour and materials to make the repair. This showed the actual cost for a breakdown could be between four to fifteen times the maintenance costs. When the breakdown causes production to stop, the costs are very high because no parts are being produced.
The main purpose of regular maintenance is to ensure that all equipment required for production is operating at 100% efficiency at all times. Maintenance kits, lubricant products play here an important role and ensure problems are corrected before they become a major problem that can shut down a production line.
Considering the mutations in the industrial equipment’ technical complexity and the accidental failures’ catastrophic consequences from the economic point of view, the maintenance activity assumes a new dimension and a value it brings about in ensuring seamless performance of plant & machineries.

High Performance Motorcycle Chain Lubricant Spray
Motorcycles are high-speed applications that operate in tough conditions like rain, dirt, sand, and high shock loads. These specially developed chains are used as the part of the drive train to transmit the motor power to the back wheel.
The chain must never be run dry. Lubricating the chain regularly prolongs its life. Depending on weather conditions, and how each one of us uses our machine, on an average, lubricate the chain every 3000 km or after a trip in the rain.
Check the type of chain: If your chain is of the O-ring type, only use O-ring compatible lubricant like IT-1098 which does not attack the O-rings. Lubricate the chain without overdoing it between the links and the roller from the inside of the chain Wipe off the surplus with a rag and leave to penetrate for 30 minutes before using the machine
IT-1098 is based on synthetic oils containing oil soluble organo-moly compounds. It goes on to wet to penetrate parts deeply, setting up an adhesive lubricating coating that does not fling-off at high speeds. The protective coating set up on the outer of the chains protects against the corrosion and weathering effects.
