DryFilm Coatings
In simple terms a DryFilm lubricant is a dry lubricant mixed with an adhesive material/binder/carrier solvent. The carrier solvent evaporates after application leaving the dry film to bond to the relevant surface forming a solid film. This results in reduced friction and helps to protect asset life. The benefits of Dryfilm lubrication products, once the product has been applied and the solvent dried off, are:
- Highly non-stick, with outstanding lubricity (low coefficient of friction)
- Thermally stable over wide range of temperatures
- Non-flammable
- Chemically inert
- Compatible with most materials
- Resistant to corrosive chemicals
- Clean, non-oily, and non-staining
- Insoluble
- Non-migrating
Solid / Dry film lubricants are unique finishes engineered to provide exceptional dry lubrication, and often serve as a more robust product alternative to traditional lubricants and anti-seizing agents such as superficial oils. Depending on your application requirements dry / solid film lubricants provide benefits by protecting tooling from galling, seizing, fretting and corrosion.
DryFilm lubricants can be utilized in applications with extreme temperature ranges (from sub-zero to 650 ° C) and resist out-gassing under vacuum for use in the aerospace and military industries.

DryFilm Coating
IT-2522 - DryFilm dispersion is an extremely stable lubricant, appropriate for anti-stick, dry film lubrication and mold release applications. Used extensively as release agents in processes involving the molding of rubber and plastic parts, IT-2522 has a low coefficient of friction that also translates into superior effectiveness as a dry lubricant. In addition, this dispersion can be added to liquids (oils) and semisolid formulations to enhance lubricity, promote thickening, and retard fouling
